From the Founder’s Desk:
Four months ago, I started teaching a small group of 5 to 6 children from the streets, encouraged them and with my office architects started teaching them
. To my surprise, within just two months, this number grew to over 150 children. There was no turning back after that. I hired a few teachers, and now, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, we are teaching children in various slum areas.
This requires us to stretch ourselves a little more, carving out extra hours from our usual comfort and routine. But the happiness we see on these children’s faces, the hope in their eyes, makes it all worthwhile. Their joy comes from the simplest things—sometimes even from receiving a small pencil or a new book.
All children are the same. It’s only the circumstances and location of their birth that make the difference.
