From the Founder’s Desk:
Four months ago, I started teaching a small group of 5 to 6 children from the streets. Encouraged by their progress, and with the help of my office architects, I continued teaching them. To my surprise, within just two months, this number grew to over 150 children. There was no turning back after that.
I hired a few full-time teachers, and I also dedicate several hours from my office and business each week. From 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, we are teaching children in various slum areas, along with a permanent pathshala in a highly dense slum area.
This all requires us to stretch ourselves a little more, carving out extra hours from our usual comfort and routine. But the happiness we see on these children’s faces and the hope in their eyes make it all worthwhile. Their joy comes from the simplest things—sometimes even from receiving a small pencil or a new book.
All children are the same. It’s only the circumstances and location of their birth that make the difference.
